Product description
Meet Tenchi Masaki — a seemingly
ordinary Japanese high school
student. His life is changed forever
when he accidentally breaks the seal
that imprisons a legendary demon near
his family's shrine. The female demon is
actually a galactic space pirate, and her
release starts a chain of events that brings
a motley crew of alien women to Tenchi's
household. A royal princess, a galaxy police
detective, a cute little girl with a mysterious past,
a powerful space pirate, an adorable cat / rabbit hybrid,
and the greatest scientific genius in the universe...all
vying for Tenchi's attention and affection! As Tenchi's
adventures begin, he unlocks the secret of his family
heritage and discovers that his blood is the key to an
ancient and wondrous power...
This role-playing game is based on the 14-episode video series, TenchiMuyo!, conceived and developed by Hiroki Hayashi and Masaki
Kajishima. You can take up the role of Tenchi, Ryoko, Ayeka, Sasami,
Mihoshi, Washu, Yosho, or even Ryo-Ohki; alternatively you can play the
villainous Kagato or Dr. Clay, or even a character of your own design.
The game features the intuitive and easy-to-learn Tri-Stat SystemTM
game mechanics, which is fully compatible with GUARDIANS OF ORDER's
other anime role-playing games. Additionally, the book offers
extensive resources and references for Tenchi Muyo! fans (including
exhaustive episode summaries and introspective character bios), and
over 500 spectacular full-colour animation images. It's the ideal
role-playing game for gamers and Japanese anime fans who
appreciate fast-paced combat action, mecha space battles, and
soap opera comedy!
History
The book was first announced via press release by Guardians of Order on their official website on July 19, 1999. Initially, the book was set to release in the winter of 1999, and was to be written by Guardians of Order founder Mark C. MacKinnon.[2] In a press release on November 17, 1999, Guardians of Order announced that the book would receive a price increase from the announced $24.95 US/$29.95 CAN to $29.95 US/$34.95 stating "the principle reason for the change as an increase in the page count and material to be included in the book." Due to the increase in material, the release date was moved from November 1999 to February 2000.[3] The book would eventually release in July of 2000, and in the foreword written by MacKinnon, he explained why the writing duties changed.
Originally, David and I were going to co-author the book, but as our company continues to grow I find myself with less time to design and write.

At ORIGINS 2001 and GENCON 2001,[4] Guardians of Order ran the premade campaign "No Need for Cosmically Aware Red Dimensional Cubes!" for convention goers to introduce them to the game.
"No Need for Cosmically Aware Red Dimensional Cubes!" was described as:
WANTED: One Galaxy Police Red Dimensional Cube. Lost, sometime within the last month. Maybe on Earth. Named "Fluffy." Looks like a red cube. If found, please return to First-Class Detective Mihoshi. P.S. Please do not report this to my partner, Detective Kiyone, or my Captain!
